Privacy policy
Plain language: what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are
This policy covers autotestx.com, docs.autotestx.com and the AutoTestX application at app.autotestx.com, operated by AutoTestX, based in Canada. Questions about privacy go to info@autotestx.com.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use advertising trackers, and our website has no analytics.
What we collect
- When you contact us. The details you type into the contact form: name, work email, company, and optionally job title, phone and times that suit you, plus your topic and message. With it we receive the first page you opened on this visit, the website that sent you there (its address only, not the page), and any campaign tags in the link you followed (
utm_sourceand similar). These are kept in your browser tab, not in a cookie, and sent only when you submit the form. The same applies to emails you send us. - When you use live chat. Only if you accept chat cookies: your messages, any name or email you give, and technical details the chat service records, such as your IP address, browser and the page you are on.
- When you use the application. Your name, email address and role; your password, stored only as a one-way hash; and the content your organization puts in: test definitions, environment settings, test data, run results, screenshots of the screens under test, and an audit log.
- When you visit any of our sites. Our web server records standard request logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser's user agent.
AutoTestX is meant for test environments. Please don't put production data or personal information about real people into tests, test data or screenshots.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, arrange a session, and follow up about a pilot or subscription you asked about.
- To provide the application: sign you in, run your tests, keep your organization's data separate, and support you.
- To keep our services secure and working, for example by investigating errors or abuse in server logs.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations, such as invoicing.
We use your information only for these purposes, with your consent where it is required, and we don't send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
Service providers
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us.

Some of these providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.
Cookies
Our website sets no cookies unless you accept live chat. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and never sent to us.

at any time. Declining only turns off live chat; the contact form and email still reach us.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and chats: while we are in conversation, and then for 24 months unless you become a customer or ask us to delete them sooner.
- Application data: for as long as your organization has an account. On request, we export or delete your organization's data within 30 days.
- Server logs: rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.
- Backups: daily server snapshots, overwritten on a rolling basis.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw a consent you gave. Email info@autotestx.com and we will answer within 30 days. If your organization uses AutoTestX, some requests about application data may need to go through your organization's administrator.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact theOffice of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes, sessions use secure cookies, every record in the application is checked against its own project, and secrets for the systems under test are removed from every report. Our services are not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell customers by email before it takes effect.
